Am very impressed with the bike and the way it behaves
We Have only had the V65sp for a short time but the more I ride it what a great little bike. We have toured a major part of Eastern Oz by motorcycle on either BMW's and Guzzi's. Had an R80 BMW, Mk5 Le Mans, a R100GSDP(Dakar) BMW and now the V65sp. All of which we towed our faithful little trailer 'tic tac'. Have downsized at this stage as Leona wishes to ride as well and we can't justify two bikes at the moment.
I'm a semi-retired fitter/aircraft eng./engine reconditioner. I've been riding since about I was 14 yrs old. I started on Matchless/AJS 500 singles and I've had many bikes over the years. I love riding, especially guzzis. My first one was a Mk1 which sadly was sold years ago. The next a 750s, also a T4-850 which I still have along with the beemer. I'm always on the lookout for bits for the Guzzis. I like to modify my bikes to suit me, not radically but just to add a little individuality. I like to talk bikes and learn more about Guzzis and their riders. I busted my back about 6 yrs ago so can`t do any heavy work any more but still have some workshop equipment, so can still do small jobs - makes life easier.
Looove all or most motorbikes and the people involved, prefer Moto Guzzi, especially mine. Intrigued by technical information and thinking, sometimes for a long time, to improve the species. Have been known to go off on wild transients and end up with a (very) good product.
I've only had the Cali for 6 months but we've bonded already. We should have met years ago! My previous bike was a Yamaha XV750. I'm a Ulysses club member and will ride until.....
The Three R`s basically, reading about them repairing them and riding them
The short answer is: I now live in a warehouse full of toys, my mainstream is building maintenance, repair, renovation. My passion is Moto Guzzi maintenance, repair, renovation, customisation ... what could be better than that??
Bike(s) dont apply. Petes in love with his new Italian lady, and the Tupperware Tornados are left to languish in their respective sheds. The Z's still being rebuilt and is about 5 minutes from completion. We have 6 kids, own a boutique and an advertising agency in our small country town, Toodyay, and a small farm.
