Bought the goose in 1984 - never looked back. The top-end rebuild was a bit of a shock to the hip-pocket nerve so was the gearbox rebuild and so on. I think I'll paint it soon. Visited Mandello in 1984 -actually found an ENGLISH factory manual plus supplement for LeMans.

bikes: V50 Monza, 1950ish Airone Sport, 450 desmo, British stuff.

Have owned the Monza 10 or 12 years, riding more miles every year than the year before. It is my main transport and sadly gets more use for business than pleasure. Done over 90,000km. The Airone is a non-running retirement project.

I live at Ferny Hills just outside Brisbane (where all the good twisty roads are) & work as a postie at Stafford. I have had a lot of bikes in my short but eventfull life. Mostly japanese bikes which are good the most memorable of which have been a Yamaha TC 500 Twin (you know the eight valve job), Honda 750 Bolodor, Kawa 1100 B2, Yamaha 750 Triple (shaft drive) all of which I remember fondly. But my Lemans is the best bike I have ever ridden and I do not think I will go back to a jap bike they are just missing something.

I am working on a Moto Guzzi Gallery and I need all the pictures I can get, so please e-mail me if you have some.
