Been riding bikes for about 30 yrs. Allways liked Guzzi's but never ridden one untill I had paid for and was riding away from the dealer. Hated the thing for about the first 30k, but then it started to grow on me. Now its a full on Italian love affair. I've also owned the Bonniville since brand new (its now a family heirloom).
Bike is getting a bit tired, however still runs well. Has done approx 190k. Hasn't looked back since putting in an Oddessy dry cell battery and larger capacity coils. Would like a price list of components for top end rebuild, carbs etc. My "other half" and I run a small mixed business with petrol, produce, take away etc at Laravale, Qld. and I'm in the Ulysses.
I am a mother of three boys. My husband and I have been into Moto Guzzi's for some time. I keep on him to keep inproving his bikes and hopfully add to his collection. Nothing in this world (besides my children of couse) is better than a Sunday ride through the hills of Perth. I hope this gives you some idea as to the extent I am into Moto Guzzi's. Most people are at a loss to understand and after years of trying to explain why and then having to look at their blank faces after a lengthy explanation, these day's when the question arises I just explain as once quoted by someone---IT MAKES ME HAPPY!
Started riding bikes at 13 years as well as surfing. Had a few bikes, Suzuki GT550 what a smoker, Honda K2 what a wobbler, couple of trails,Triumph 1966 650, Yamaha XV750, Honda RS 250. Since 1983 I just wanted a Guzzi.1992 got the chance, never road one before, took the Monza for a spin, bought it that morning.8 years and still loving it. Married with two kids both girls they love the Guzzi as well. It will be with me for a long time. The trials are for letting lose in the bush all good fun.
The ducati is on display in the entrance and the guzzi is in the garage, at hand for around town duties, as well as blasts through the hills when I can.
