I have had bikes all my life, read a lot then bought a Guzzi. I am one of the early members of Ulysses Club, about 18 years. I love my Guzzi. I have modified a fair bit but it goes really well.

Apart from the Suzuki all of my bikes up until now have been Hondas and most of those were late model sports bikes. I had the opportunity to buy a Daytona in 95 but didn't think I was ready for one back then so I bought a blade instead. I have, for a long time wanted to buy an 1100 sport and having heard Phill Cantwell's Le Mans thunder away from work numerous times decided it was time to buy a Guzzi. After some time I finally tracked one down in Melbourne through this site. It's an immaculate (thanks to Tom, the previous owner) black 95 model with carbon staintunes. Unfortunately the starter was knackered so I sourced one from Euroglass in NZ. I must say since getting it going it feels like a bit of a slug compared to a jap bike but I have never enjoyed riding a bike so much in my life (those poor car drivers don't know where the thunder is coming from).

Riding 3-4 days a week. Enjoying 400k day trips to Licola, Reefton, and so on. Now own my first MG, also ride a 1949 AJS 500 and a similar Matchless outfit. Interested in home service of the Cali now that warranty is out, and would enjoy meeting other owners for a ride or chat. Wouldn't mind learning more about tyres, servicing, any new chips or lurks for gaining more midrange grunt. Keen on all kinds of circuit racing and trials, as spectator or volunteer pit crew. Ex L and P instructor for VicRoads, but not a rider with fancy skill levels, just a 40 year graduate of the school of hard knocks, oil leaks and dodgy electrics. You don't know what darkness is 'til you've ridden a bike equipped by "Magneti Lucasi".

bikes: LM Mk3

I've owned a LM Mk3 since1996 and love the bike to pieces. I had been active in the Vic Club since 1996 holding various committee positions. I even had a stint as President but the Vic Club aren't into graft and corruption (no one bought me a beer just because I was President). I moved to Portland, Vic earlier this year with my partner, Michelle so have only been able to attend the clubs big events. Michelle's bike satisfies my urge to tinker (its a VF500 Honda that keeps rejecting head gaskets. We are currently seeking immuno suppressing drugs that will assist in this area). We are enjoying local rides down here and are lucky enough to have the Grampians to play with. (The Halls Gap- Zumpsteins Rd compares favorably with the Reefton and Black Spurs). We have found quality people to ride with however we miss the riding company of other Guzzi riders.
