I have an appreciation of fine engineering/quality but a need to modify/personalise.
Low Km's on bike Only ride to work occasionally Love Hate relationship with Guzzi
Too little to mention
The Lario was purchased from a lady in Victoria who got caught in Bracks' $50-00 rego hike and couldn't afford the bike any more. I "did it up" which means in my lingo the absoloute barest to get it regd in NSW. It is my first Guzzi and I have owned it for 12 months now and love it as I can work on it and it has character and....what the hell, you own Guzzi's so you know what I'm talking about. The ST is the interstate express that never breaks down, can get from Kiama to Philip Island in one day and is the best motorcycle I have owned. I have been riding for about 37 years now. My first bike was a 175 CZ. Through the 70's I owned some Kawasakis and Yamahas, I think. But that was the 70's and it's all a little dim! I once owned a Harley but grew out of it. I rode it to Perth and then to Cairns and around Tassie. It ate voltage regulators at over $200 a hit but otherwise was OK if you could put up with lack of speed, pissweak acceleration, and so so handling. It had twin disks on the front and would stop alright. On the 98 mile straight across the Nullabor I got it up to 160k's two up but that was getting toward the end of the straight with both hands twisting shite outta the throttle!
Been riding for 25 years. This is my 2nd Guzzi. Owned a LeMans Mk5 1990 which fell to bits on regular occasions. Changed to Triumphs - got sick of oiling chains. Have just bought the Rosso Corsa - so far extremely happy with it.
New to Guzzi's. I've had all the Japper's, Harley's, two Brit's and a new Aprilia but always liked the look of a Cali so here I am.
I purchased the Guzzi in May 1981. I remenber being told that "I was crazy to spend $5,500 on a motorcycle", but she's been a good bike with only 58,000 km on the clock to date. She'll never be sold.
Have been riding bikes off and on since 16. I have had a mixture of Jap and European and have just recently returned to a Guzzi (should never have left). I live north of the city near a pine forest and the coast, lots of twisty roads. This bike (gorgeous Guzzi) is the best one I have ever had.
I have just purchased a 2000 Moto Guzzi V11 Sports in absolutely superb condition....it IS new!! Found it in Melbourne and it had been carefully freighted to Perth, awaiting registration and for me to return home on holidays from the Middle East. Also chasing a 1995/6 Moto Guzzi Daytona Racing 1000 with 36,641 kms on the clock, build no. 81 of 100. This machine has the factory fitted C kit and a set of Marchesini wheels and Lameroni exhaust. I have placed a deposit on it, and am trying to sort the paperwork exercise to get it home. It will arrive complete with the original gear in the crate. I will attempt to upload a couple of pics of both the bikes ASAP. Perhaps of interest, might be some photos I found while surfing the web, of a group of guys who have reproduced that magnificent V8 500....to just about every conceiveable detail. I will also attempt to upload those to the site as well.
