About 3yrs ago I saw a guzzi in a custom bikes book that I really liked, so when I saw this GT at the right price I had to have it. My project is well under way Lemans spec heads, new rearsets and pipes so far. Much more to come. Handling suprised me most, unfortunately power is not there yet, although you sort of expect that when you've owned nothing under 100hp. But it's heaps of fun and I just love beating 900ss dukes on it! I hope to show it at the story bridge show next year if all goes well. Shall send photos as it progresses. See ya

Recently purchased an 1100i with modified chip and exhaust etc. However am having a problem with the engine leaning out between 3,000 - 4,000rpm. Wondering if any one knows of a local (Brisbane) area specialist who may cure my problems.
By the way, love the Guzzi and am now a converted devotee. Owned Jap bikes till now (Hondas mainly - CB900's CB1100 and CB1100RD (a great bike) and VF750 etc.,)

Whenever i get into something I always go a little over the top. I have only returned to bikes recently after a period of many years. Spotted a Le Mans at a dealer ( too many K's) this returned the passion, what followed was the purchase of two bikes within a period of two weeks......... Yes a little over the top (I don't think so)

I have an "on again Off again" affair with motor\cycles for nearly 35 years. 29 'bikes later, I suddenly and unexpectantly became the owner of a Moto Guzzi, in fact the most unlikely Guzzi. I have become the proud? owner of the ex. SMITHS CHIPS promotional Guzzi outfit, my wife still hasn't stopped laughing.

After owning and riding a broad range of Japanese and American bikes over the past 18 years, I finally made my best motorcycle purchase decsion and bought a pristine '96 1100 Sport. I don't what all the complaints are about - I loved the bike from the moment I first rode it. The only thing I would like to change is the exhaust system - to be able to hear the beautiful sound that is currently far too muffled. Any tips anyone has for reasonably priced options in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a few motorbikes, starting with a Honda SL70 when I was 14, My last bike was a Honda 400 F , resleeved to 500 cc, Ported and polished head etc with suspension and brake mods, it was a great bike to ride, Sharon and I rode to Mackay QLD on it. You can only do that while your young , our butts would never handle it now. I always wanted a Guzzi, the first one I saw was a 750s at NEWELLS in Brisbane when my 350 four was being repaired after being tailended.After abreak of ten years , busy with houses and children we finally got our Guzzi and I am rapped with its comfort and long legged touring ability. I'm also impressed with it's reliability and how cheap it is to run, I do all my own maintenance. Ours has K &N air filters, Dunstall mufflers, and a pack rack I made to fit Gearsack soft panniers, also I have drilled the discs, the braking in the wet left a bit to be desired. We live in central victoria and have some good local rides, also have manage to go to the superbikes and the grand prix. We would like to hear from any other guzzi owners within a hour or so of Woodend. regards Alan

When I met my husband-to-be, he was a member of a motor cycle touring club where most of the members owned European bikes. When I upgraded from my 250, I wanted a European bike. We could not find anything suitable in Tasmania, so we contacted the MotoGuzzi Club in Victoria asking about any bikes for sale and subsequently while on holiday bought the V50 and have been happy with it

Been riding forever - the usual collection of jap stuff - the mandatory cx500s - BMWs - everything with shaft drive and 2 cylinders. Finally made it to the ultimate.
