I've mostly had BMW's for 40 years and always wanted to try a Guzzi. Now have one, a basket case.

bikes: V65 Lario

After riding a V50 in the UK and riding around Europe, I gave up bikes for travel and family and have now returned after finding a nice '86 Lario to re-introduce me to the joys.

bikes: 07 Bellagio

Currently I have a Bellagio, but before that a Mk3, Mk5 Lemans and started with a SP 750. I have had many other brands but have now settled on Guzzis.
I race vmx and hope to get involved in vintage trials in the not too distant future.
PS no relation to the John Sample, but I do have a brother John Sample. I get asked that every where I go.

I've always had jap bikes, the last one being a Honda 1100 Blackbird. I saw a Lemans years ago. It always stuck in the back on my head, those barrels out the sides, that V twin note. I started cruising the net about a year ago and found one in Sydney, flew down and rode her back. I couldn't believe how good it was to travel on. I got home and gave the Blackbird the flick. Go the Guzzis.

I have owned my Guzzi since 2007 and still love it. It has taken a while to get it sorted, wiring, brakes, clutch, seat, etc. I recently swapped to upright handlebars and a higher seat. It does not look as good but my back is very happy! I have also converted to Hydraulic clutch...no more cables. I have previously had Japanese bikes would not go back (but still like my Suzuki trail bike).

bikes: Moto Guzzi LeMans Basket(s) Case(s)

It may be a while before I post. I'm not yet able to resurrect a working machine from the several baskets of bits that make up my LeManses. Although most people would say that my most significant hurdles are technical ignorance and mechanical ineptitude, my main barrier to restoring my Guzzis is abject poverty.
